Dickson Valley Camp & Retreat Center
Dickson Valley Camp and Retreat Center is a Christ-centered ministry on 160 acres in Kendall County, Illinois. Since 1989, we've hosted churches, schools, nonprofits, and campers for retreats, camps, and educational programs.
The kitchen is part of that hospitality — every meal is a chance to make guests feel cared for.
The Kitchen Assistant helps with prep, service, and cleanup under the Kitchen Manager and Lead Cooks. It's entry-level and hands-on — a solid fit if you're building kitchen experience or just want flexible, seasonal hours. You'll always be working alongside someone else, not running a shift solo.
Part-time, hourly. Most available hours are in summer and on busy retreat weekends.

No prior kitchen experience needed, just a willingness to learn and show up reliably for the shifts you take.
Fall & Spring (Sept–Nov, Jan–May): Shifts follow the retreat calendar and vary week to week.
Summer (June–Aug): Camp runs Monday–Friday — the most predictable schedule and where most hours are.
Mid-Summer Break: Off the week of July 4th.
December: Camp closed all month.
